Removable bed is nice, front panel not genuine but looks the part! You really have to look hard to see it's removable. Nice touch. The cosmics would look nice, black and white.

I will be putting the removable grille on mine , its a sod to do things with a fixed grille . If your intrested Neil , the switch panel should be black ..... sprayed with what is called "black crackle paint" a black paint that gives a crinkly finish surprisingly , the same stuff used on metal MGB dash boards . The door trims and dash liners should be black Hardura , you can get those cheaply new from Newton Commercial . Actually if you decide to buy some new ones let me know I get trade discount and will also order a new set myself for mine. D

Right having owned this truck for a few months now I think its time for an update. Car seems to be running well although the white paint is a bugger to keep clean. also I dont think the spray job is top quality and I need to get the engine bay done at some point I have noticed that there are a few things that need to be sorted including: - new window catches one foor check strap rear exhaust hanger door cards & head lineing Plans at the moment include fitmrnt of the 60's style wood rimmed steering wheel I got from paul (for £10) and hopfully oneday fitment of my KAD bonnet (which I have in the garage). I have also decided that I am going to do my own interior as there is next to nothing in there at the moment so on the lookout for some old MK1/2 door cards & head lineing to use as a template Longterm plans include refurbisment of the mini special wheels I got off of Si (again for £10). and just going to use it for enjoyment throughout the summer Neil

Right time for another update, after Daz making us all drive through a river I found the carpets floating on water thanks to a missing floor bung still need to fix that also had to fix a flat battery, caused because you can take the key out with the ignition being on and I dident notice, you can even take the key out with the engine running! So battery charged enough trim fitted to get me to Brooklands I get it out the garage, shut the door then I find the slave cyl has gone so missed the convoy and had to go in Dads Pug but I did get a few bits: - New slave cyl £12 Braded clutch hose £12 Rear window bead £3.45 New exhaust hanger £1.45 (am using this thread to track my spending on the project) So this weekend I fitted new cyl and hose and now all is good again, the gear change is alot smoother now (or am I just getting used to the 850 magic wand g/box???) Laters N
