So had a bit of luck yesterday found out that the rear hubs have longer studs and spacers already fitted (even if they did only have 3 nuts per wheel (the disadvanctages of hub caps - you can see the nuts)
I lso fitted one of the door cards I bought at the L2B they are well hard to fit so I only did the one though I was going to bugger the cards up but it looks ok now it is fitted.
Also I picked up some sleve nuts at SMDs for £15 & some S/H 6*9s for £10 not sure if they will fit in the pup though.
Laters N :-)

Long time not posts from me here so heres a quick update. the pickup is still on the road and I have done nothing to it apart from put petrol in it, I have recently bought a new stereo which I am in the process of fitting just need to find some small speakers as there is no room in the cab! I also got a set of Split Rims for it which I have fitted, only thing is it will need arches, so I am currenly running with the Mambas again until I get some arches fitted. Heres a nice pic of the splitties though... i277.photobucket.com/albums/kk80/MiniGT5/DSC00047.jpgN :-)

Looks quality mate! Loving the magic wand gear stick too - Got one of them in mine! Love the paint job, front end is real nice... Like the integral grille. Interior is looking pretty too, is it lined with suade? Centered speedo looks rather snazzy too.

Right, Been a long time since I did anything to the pup apart from getting it through its MOT but I did manage to bag myself a bargin on the BMC website: - www.brightonminiclub.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=2748Collected it yesterday. Looks like its an early John Cooper Garages 998 conversion, the one with the Janspeed head 31mm inlets 27mm exhausts with double valve springs, just needs a bit of a clean up, polish and paint... What colour to paint it though? probably green but I was also considering black? Just need an LCB to mate this lot to my play mini exhaust and I will be totally rev happy. N :-)

OK so its been a while... The pickup has been on and off the road several times since the Ace Cafe Night back in september when it broke down 5 times! So over the last 2 weeks I have cleaned up the front brakes with new shoes and flexi hoses, I had to cut part of the inner wing away to fit the O/S one. I have also replaces the broken wheel stud at the front and bled the brakes, they dont actually seen any better than before you still need to pump the pedal twice to get a good bite. I guess the next trick is to change the brake fluid Still got the rear brakes to do and replace the broken rear wheel stud, dont suppose anyone has one spare lying arround for a spacered drum??? Also I think I have a ball joint or wheel bareing on the way out, you can only feel the play left to right not up and down so whats causing that Laters N
