Just picked up Josie’s 'Matilda' from Shawn, I good job of replacing the outer sills and patching up the inner.  Stage one of de-rusting; twenty more to go.  Shawn looked after the car and ensured it was well immobilised, even unplugging the alternator.....  I found that after thirty minutes of night driving and five minutes from home  ; I thought Shawn had stolen Matilda's lights for some old oil lanterns!!! ;D A pit stop and jump-start from Josie in my Balmoral got me going again within ten minutes. Good immobiliser though, the car stops with twenty miles of been taken! ;D ;D |

Dont you get a red light come up on the dash showing a fault in the charging system then?

Well folks there was no red light, The 12volt supply for the red charge light comes from the ignition and to ground via the alternator, if the alternator is not plugged in - no chance for the alternator to ground the circuit. Come on you old git , thought you had some expirience with mini's? ;D ;D |

Hello Matilda fans! She's been drawn out early from her garage! The lucky young girl will have Minihaven under her Thursday. He'll be putting on a pair of recon calipers up front, followed by a last minute MOT in the afternoon. Watch this space!  |

I fully wash it with petrol, anti rust and weed killer. No worries there!! ;D ;D ;D
