Friday, 8am MOT retest, after one minute of looking into the car, the MOT certificate was printing. Ten minutes later we were on the road, called Rachel with the referancing numbers to tax the car, cheers Rachel A good drive to Portsmouth and a weekend of moving house with a roof rack really put Matilda back into use.

A good drive to Portsmouth and a weekend of moving house with a roof rack really put Matilda back into use. My poor mini is being used as a work horse again!! She's ok though, reliable and perfect! ;D

Well thank you to those who saved Matilda from using the roof rack apart for a couple of light loads. It was much appreciated those who have taken some of our cra~, while we have moved out awaiting our new pad.... with a garage!! And to those who helped clean the pad the other night. I would of invited the whole club for a moving out party, guess with some planning it will have to be a moving in party ;D As another twist of bad luck in our plight in struggling through life, within yesterdays 20hrs notice I'm now in Eire for the week, leaving Josie to finish the house to handover to the landlord and all that stress. Hope poor Matilda doesn't get used at a stress toy ;D

Jim , why hasnt he named the people who helped him move ? Thank you to Jim, Alan & Dave for helping us move most of our stuff on Sunday to the new house in Heathfield. We wouldnt have stood a chance if you guys hadnt been there! Also thank you to Shawn, Gaz & Rachel for their contribution on the minis last Thursday so that we had a car to move around in plus get me to my job interview on the Friday And thank you again to Rachel, and Viv (Mumsie) & Richard for helping us, at short notice, to hoover & move the final stuff on Monday night whilst the landlord was doing the inspection! ...Oh, and thanks again to Rachel for blowing one of the bulbs & replacing it again within minutes! ;D ;D ;D (PS: job interview went well, and I now have a second interview on Wednesday morning in a coffee shop in Shoreham! ) Cheers! Josie & Simon.

Thought I'd get under Matilda to investigate this squeak... ended up removing the whole radius arm... The knuckle joint that was taking the verbal abuse wasn't to bad. Thought I'd look further... What idiot put the bracket retaining bolt in the corner? So cheap socket sets wont fit... Got that sorted ;D Carried out an inspection of the arm... Is the suspension pivot pin through the arm meant to be seized? ;D Thats Matilda definitely not making it to Rivera... She'll have to wait until my return from my travels. Shopping list, O/S radius arm recondition, two rear shocks, two rear brake hoses & pipes. ;D Roll on the show season!

The pin should not be siezes it has needle barings one end and I think none on the other hence there is a grease nipple in the end to keep it lubed so it will move.
