Hey Peeps, As some of you my know my old Citeron Saxo was starting to fall to bits at 80K (As most French cars do) So I started looking for a replacment and I decided to get a New Mini so I could at least take it to some of the shows when the pickup is off the road. Please don't slaughter me or send me into excile.... N:)

Nice Works Neil, your bini adventure obviously started at the ace caf when Hayley had a job to prize you out of the seat of a works up there. A word of advice speaking from an experience yesterday, don't compromise when it comes to fitting new break pads. I was talked into using pattern part ones and had the most horrendous brake fade entering a roundabout, won't tell you at what speed for legal reasons but had to take an unusual route off it ( squeeky bum time! ) Have just been and got some Green Stuff ones to replace, hopefully will stop now. John

Oh well that got a better reception than I thought it would. I'm totally lovin' my new ride. The only bad point is the MPG but other than that it is so very very quick and the smiles per mile far out way the bad points. Laters N:)

Its been 18 months now and 29K miles since I bought this and I have had quite a few problems including: - - Sunroof Jammed Open - 2x Cracked thermostat housings - Leekey powersteering pump - Bootlid repainted due to imperfections All this was covered under the warrenty but now its out of warrenty I have had to start doing my own repairs. First thing I have neede to repair was a cracked fog light bracket which I have repaired with a strip of aluminum but it did involve removing the front bumper. Pics below
