hi all, i thought id share my project with you all. last summer i saw a mini 30 sitting in a garden in brighton so i decided to recue it, it was on 2 wheels no engine, no glass, no interior, no front end, it was basicly a shell with a front subframe, brakes and drive shafts and a completely rottern rear subframe. here are a few pics: 2weeks in and its rolling with a freshly painted front subframe and a garage to live 1100 engine was covered in mud and alsorts. off with its head for a good clean and rebuild and a lick of paint to make it look pretty. starting to look like a mini now i make it look like i enjoy prep work.. haha how wrong strengh bars fitted for the flip front also painted green to match front subframe new petrol tank fitted and painted green new rear subframe painted green to match front and new minifin drums with hi-lo suspension more priming, at this stage i decided i didnt like gloss black, and decide to go for satin black so more wet and drying to continue. 10 inch mini lights with 7.9 inch clubman gt brakes engines in and looking very colourfall. more up to date pics to come later on today. matt

hi everyone might have noticed that the lean green boyracer eating machine hasn't been to the club meets for about 6 months well its had some serious cash spent in the engine department. i decided that after the rolling road session last year that 78bhp wasn't enough and decided that supercharging was the way forward ;D so i bought a kit from jonspeed racing and bolted it to a mg metro lump to see how it would handly sure enough a couple of head gaskets later and some near enough blown piston rings i decided to upgrade and got jonspeed to build be a block and gearbox and stage 3 head anyway heres some pics mg metro lump with charger bolted on mg metro supecharged mini IMG]http://i107.photobucket.com/albums/m286/matt-attude/DSC00076.jpg[/IMG] after hours of hard work i decided to invest is some new wheels. shewas alive and kicking and of to the rolling road where she was hitting 95 bhp was alittle disapointed but she was geting 115 torque which was pretty fun ;D gerald dale said that the advance on the mg dizzy was letting me down. after i blow the head gasket a couple of times and upset the local boyracers i decided to go for a lower compression engine 1293 which i had jonspeed build with a sw5 cam twin duplex timing chain, i also brought a new gearbox with x pin diff and central oil pick up. gearbox 1293 block out with the old in with the new i decided to do away with the mg dizzy and got a 123 ignition dizzy which i must say was well worth the money i decided to go for a 2 core mini spares rad and silicon hose kit new heater matrix and mechanical temp guage. fired her up yesturday and left her running for a while went to drive her and couldn't get her in gear turns out my clutch master cylinder is in need of replacment so just need to wait till next week to order a new master and slave cylinder it will get there in the end.
