well it might make it to july meet with it as i need an mot but first things first need a fully functional clutch operating system. il try the engine and gearbox set me back about £1000, £500 for block and £450 for the gearbox and £40 for postage. stage 3 head was £450 i think? its unleaded as well, and £1075 for the supercharger kit. 123 ignition was £199 jon speed were very good for customer service point of view. and i think that the price in total was reasonable but i did buy everything over a stretched period but lookin at the figures now i cud hav got myself another mini haha or a more decent paint job. talking of which does anyone know a good resonable sprayers as my paint is starting to lift in places, not a happy bunny.

Think i need to save up a bit more! How did you find fitting the supercharger in, was it quite straightforward?
For paint try sean at stone cross on 07713613679 and mention the mini club, quite a few members take their cars down there, including me. Hes very reasonable on prices and can do a real good job if you want to pay for it

ok i will try him. fitting the supercharger is relitivly straight forward however i hav a flip fronted mini so working in the engine compartment i have quite abit of room. i shud imagen if u still hav inner wings fitted, changing the drive pully cud be abit of a challenge other than that its just like doing a head gasket but adding a decompression plate 2 gaskets and a blower insted of the carb and inlet manifold. i did find it alittle teadius bolting the blower and lcb to the head as it can be quite fidaly. however the decompression plate does make the hight of the engine that extra bit taller and the blower is quite a size so you might have to have the bonnet lifted alittle i do anyway to let air through. but the the kit comes with a fall instruction sheet step by step so its pretty straightforward. iv don it twice now so its gotta be easy stephen are u thinking of joining the supercharged mini scene ;D

mine doesn't ice when it 10 degrees C and above. i do get abit of condensation in the outside of the intake pipe lol. i think stuart at vmax has an air filter with a built in heater thing and mini speed do an anti icing block that fits somewhere between the airfilter and the carb i think. have you had yours on the rolling road yet neil?

Not yet just waiting on my new distributor to turn up. but I can't seem to get it to idle without choke at the moment.

hi dave, yeah will hopefully be sorting that by goin injection. as the injectors squirt directly into the blower, think it may had be doing that because once engine is switched off and the vacuum isn't sucking the fuel up, the fuel in the intake pipe runs back down the pipe and seeps through the carb and out air filter. abit dodgy , hopefully wont be having to worry about that any more. neil, does yours do that? my idle has been set at 1100rpm this is because of the intake pipe and its silly 45degree angle. mine idle also starts to pick up wen sat in traffic for a while dunno why this is but when i giv it a blib on the throttle it dropps right off could be down to my mixture. but its another reason for me to go injection. have you had yours out on a run yet neil? matt
