what is it a good reliable clock work engine with a carb and no computer is sight to go wrong lol Yeah that electric radiator and computer wheel nuts are difficult things ;D But you'll be pleased to know the computer started the engine first time, once it had a healthy 12volt supply Just a wiper motor, grill and bumper to go

Tackled a rear wheel bearing Friday, took me thirty minutes to drift out the old bearing outer race! Five minutes to drift in the new... The hub was was swapped over from matilda who chewed through a bearing in 3000miles, I'm woundering if the hub is not quite perfect and accelerating bear on the bearing. To confirm, you toque up a tappered bearing then tighten to the next split pin hole? As per haynes. Had a look at some rust on the door step I'm expecting Dave to fail the MOT on. After a clean up, to my supprise it solid under the bubble rust. Guess it wont stay that way for long Just a new wiper rack, claim back the wiper from the duckling, dash swap and a new wiper control relay tonight... Then just before the MOT a grease up and tyre pressures. Not much to do.... not much really...

One MOT failure. Two tyres required, rear brakes are un balanced and head light adjustment. Oh and a long list of niggles I'm not happy about Retest Monday

good drive down the a22 was it? Of coarse... ;D Just testing the boundaries of the national speed limit... ;D Spare tyres fitted on the back. Sorted out a wrongly fitted rear brake shoes on the O/S... Muppet in a rush last Friday Also found my electrical gremlin, poor earth connection under the radiator expansion tank. Now the elec cooling fan is A1, the central locking no longer locks when you turn the lights on, the hazards work all the time now, the voltmeter now reads the same as the multimeter, and the oil temp gauge is at 90 deg C rather than 170 when the side lights are on. Can Dave fail it again on the rear brakes.... find out this time tomorrow! ;D Fingers crossed
