Dr
Did you know the relay module for Injection mini's are different between SPI and MPI. Mind If I swap back the module?

I agree with Dr . Reluctor ring / tdc flywheel sensor type fault or incorrectly positioned or sensor damaged.... If the big bolt was loose you would of known about it buy now. I have not had experiance of the injected Mini clutch etc , so cannot picture what any of the thing looks like or where the sensor is located. Sorry Si . Hope you sort it in time. Dave

I've had lots of feed back and I'm coming to a point where I believe the ignition is retarded. Not a lose clutch ;D I can only assume the sensor and flywheel are not the way it was before doing the clutch. The reason for the disturbance been an oil leak from the crank onto the clutch. I found some forum posts about getting past 2000rpm at it all goes poo. The pickup was found dirty, cleaned and all was well. But mine feels fine under load at 3500rpm and above Tried to clean the sensor which was covered in oil, but it made no difference. I don't think oil on the sensor would make much difference as I believe it only detects the magnet on the flywheel to know what position the crank is in for the ignition. So what about the magnet, can that be adjusted? Can the ECU be reset? Where's may Haynes manual when i need it!!! Anyone else to the rescue?

if things are not lined up they give problems I have heard . Just concentrate on what has been disturbed whilst carrying out the job. Leave the ECU it was fine before. Try leaving a message for Andy or AC on the ML Motorsport forum they will reply during the day, or give Andy a call he will help you out . He repairs them regularly for a living . www.mlmotorsports.ckto.co.uk . d

Vibration sorted - Out of balance flywheel/diaphragm. Hammer marks on the reluctor ring too. All refitted.
New problem. Kicks back when starting, hunts for idle till it stalls. Pinks under load. Guess I've disturbed a sensor?
Help?

si sorry to hear about your plight , sounds like you need to have strong words with the mechanic . he should know that fly wheels need to be done correctly any engineer knows that !! ive met a person whos flywheel came adrift at 4 half thousand revs and the thing chewed its way thru the bulkhead and dash including the bell housing and ended up stopping very close to his wedding tackle f!"£k !!! see you in the morning
