hi dave went up to si's and tried but didnt have the right pod for the reader . si i have spoken to the chap i mentioned he left me an email as follows :- Hi Shawn - I don't think they made a Rover 2 pod No. 30056600 as I can't find any reference to it. I have lost the apps. booklets for the Rover 1 and 2 pods but in the apps list for all pods dated 04/2002 all 1275 minis upto 1996 (1997 for 12A2EK engine) are covered by the Rover 1 pod No. 30056500 and from then on by the Rover 3 pod No.30350800 which covers all Rovers until EOBD came out (if they were still being made then). So basically if you have a 3 pin harness then Rover 1 will work and if you have the newer 16 pin Harness you will need Rover 3. I will have a Rover 3 pod for sale soon. On the Sykes support website people have had trouble with some Rovers using the 16 pin Rover harness when the engine is running which was cured by using the 16 pin GM harness No.30212400. Hope this helps you. Respond to this question in My Messages. i have emailed him back to see if he would be willing to sell it , and am waiting for a reply regards shawn

The engine number is 12A2LK, so it needs the late lead 30212400 to work with pod 3 which you have?

not compatible with k series , that was worth producing then . thats like bringing the bit of kit out in 1971 and saying it does all the leyland range apart from the A and B series engines . Simon Will see what I have with the company Snap On scanner. D

I got the ECU fault codes cleared & read. ;D ;D ECU has come up with a High voltage in the Air Temperature Sensor, I assume a short. Replaced most of the wiring and a spare sensor went in but there was no improvment, so still looking for a short. And a low voltage with the oil temperature sensor. Funny.... because all the wiring (and diagram) show that the oil temperature sensor is nothing to do with the ECU!! The sensor goes directly to the gauge. Think the code reader was confused. Well at least I know its the air temp sensor - and it's still not running right.

The Duchess flew through her last minute MOT ;D ;D ;D - Apart from the idiot leaving her running in a garage for thirty minutes (Little hot), she passed with no comments - I love my mini and Josie (Not as much) ;D
