there are guys who advertise in exchange and mart / autotrader / etc. with mobile fault code readers. the same guys who reset the milages on BMWs before they go for a service / MOT trying ringing one of them as they are mobile. Alternativly what about Minibiz? You gotta do somthing as the car is out of action till you get it fixed or find someone (Caffyns or whoever) that will fix it. N :-)

si bring it down if you can it will only take a few minuits and it will let you know of any electrical / sensor faults i can also reset the codes too afterwards to see if they are just old codes or reoccuring , then you will know what sensor (if any ) are faulty and causing the problem.

None of the them in Halfords are compatable with a 1996-2000 mini, unless you could find one for me?

99.9% of ECU cars are now compatable to a standard form of comunication. The Rover Mini came in just before, Most garages have a better system which can talk to all the older difficult ECU's. May not risk a trip to minispares now. mumble.
