I have a set of 8.4 brake setup in the garden I could take the drive shaft and nut off, if it gets you to L2B. Which side. Let me know ASAP and I go get it off. Dean 07786 264170

Now I was really enjoying your thread.... but then you had to cut the arches, ouch this has made me post for the first time in xxx years!!!! I'll let the plastic arches fly, thats standard. Hmmmm....... but carry on the other good work. Another BUT, I like the look, no sarcasm, carry on!

I didn't have a choice with the 6" wide wheels and the ride height, its not so bad though because the wings and a-panels especially the drivers side aren't in great condition, the drivers wing has also had a bit of a ding at some point because the headlight is pushed in slightly so that will eventually need replacing.
When the time comes to replace the front end i'll think twice about trimming the arches as much

Now legal again... Edit. it was legal, but I've just brought a daily so the mini is now uninsured for a while. Keys by

Looks hard. I wouldn't worry about cutting the arches. It's only a Mini, and wings are cheap anyway.

Thanks stephen. to be honest thats what i thought, its not like im chopping the roof or anything major. And a picture of the daily. The More doorthe mini is just gathering dirt at the moment, my boss said he has found a 286 cam at home though, so wondering whether i should stick that in the 1275 or is it going to be too lairy?

I'm running a 286 in mine but yet to start it up, let alone drive it. Bogus has a 286 and 1.5 rockers and it does bog down quite a bit, even with the fuel injection and seven port it's a bit lumpy in traffic. Fun though when it gets going.
I'd sell it on ebay and swap for a more modern cam if it's for road use. I've seen AC Dodd's cams do the business - big power increase but still tractable and a smooth idle.

Just spent a further £120 at minispares and haven't even brought anything exciting!! Oh well 1275 should be back together and ready to go in by the end of the month, still need a carb and exhaust for it though.

I've got a Hf44 SU on a MG metro inlet going cheap if you want it,it needs sorting (the piston is seized) but it should be OK. P.s. No air filter.
