i honestly dont know haha, the guy had bought them for his sunbeam but then decided to keep the originals, he thought they were from a fiesta rs turbo, but they look slightly different

yesterday fitted new seatblets, sold the mambas and also trial fitted them and they are smaller than the mambas, now either got to try and fit old subframes or get some off ebay

deadline is april , hopefully for goodwood breakfast club at the beggning of the month, if dont make that then definatly for riveria

got into a slight bidding war on some recaro subframes last night, but i got them, there not as cheap as i thought! im going to be so broke this year haha

looking for some advice
is there anything you guys would do while changing my brakes shocks and fitting hi los, i mean like balljoints or just cleaning anything, just anything like that, small checks or changes to ensure its alright. thanks alot!!!

You got yourself a new cam or did you just decide to replace the push rods, cam followers and oil pump?

Defiantly check your ball joint for play and half the time just get away with re-shimming them, wheel bearing etc and could even rebuild the top/upper arms depending on how far you want to go - there's a good rebuild guide on top arms in last month miniworld (think stephen even did it himself !)

dont worry stephen theres a nice layer of mould and dust building up to protect the paint

i did get a new cam Ant, mini sport fast road that dean had not used, will help although im not going for power. thatll be my only real upgrade and everything else will just be cleaned up a bit or replaced with standard parts like as you said oil pump, followers, pushrods, also got new valve springs,rocker shaft, clutch, slave cylinder and water pump

and cheers for advice, i might just clean and check everything and then have it fully serviced and also see if anything comes up on mot. i never had any problems down there.......that sounds dodgy :s

I think that is the same rad as I have fitted in my pickup... If so then you might need to remake the top and bottom brackets as they are wider than standard.

Got engine out today


took a trip upto mini spares yesterday, is great up there!
got myself the 7.5 inch brake kit, gaz lowered shocks, hi los, new cones, silicone hose set, double valve springs and a few other final bits i needed




heading over to see shawn next weekend to get the 1275 built up, depending on how long it takes might be mounted by the end of the weekend. weekend after that going to get onto the brakes and suspension and final engine work. then off to geralds for it to all be set up. hopefully

this is true, but also means im now pretty d**n skint! haha
hence why instead of a shiny new dash ill have to make do with using the old one. be warned, this photo may contain explicit recycling

It's different a really good. a really good idea of what to use the old mags for people will remember your car at shows when they look through the window.

oh and while im here quick question. any ideas about bolting down my recaro subframes? at the back its meant to be fixed to the floor, but the floor will be too thin to bolt into wouldnt it? id rather not fork out for another pair of subframes so any ideas considered. thanks guys
