Those photos are so good. Best photos of a FY mini I have ever seen. My car is still a long way off.
Sore subject.

Also at MitP was this beauty fresh from the barn.....complete with spiders. The original tyres were perished but placed beside the car.

Only pre 1960 vehicles and they can still be presented for a MOT if the owner wants . Although none of this is confirmed or legislation yet .

well the car has been at the paint shop for 6 months, yes 6 months, not much has changed since it was stone chipped except 2 new door skins fitted. ( about 2 days work in total)
so after a chat with them, i have decied to take the mk1 out of there. nothing to do with there work, as thats very good, is just taking too long and now they have less time to work on it. so would sit there even more.
i still have a few jobs to finish, refitting the doors again etc, then its off to the paint shop
i have a few paint shops i can try, first will be leeds motors, literally a stones throw from my work( which is handy) plus julies son has worked for them for the last 6 years, toyota approved body shop.
its going back to matt and lisa garage for the moment, i am in the middle of building a new double garage at my sisters, and i have given up my rented garage and moved the elf to julies so its the only dry place to store it untill i have my new garage is water tight and secure
shame really, i wanted on the road by now,

Sorry to hear this Dean . Cannot say that I am to surprised going by what you have been telling me over the last 6 months .
How does it look after sitting around in virtually bare metal all that time ? Due to there work commitments Fairlight Coachworks will not undertake work like this any more .
Can Highly recommend Ron and Steve at R&S Motors in Cradle Hill industrial Estate Seaford . They are the only other people I would entrust my MK1 too ( so you know there good ) great guys and they know how to work on classics . Many many years of experiance .
ps : I couldnt open that text you sent me the other day .

The shell is fine at the moment no rust on it at all. Which is good.
New garage is coming along well so it won't be too long till I have it back and working on it again I hope.
