I have not got enough time and or money to teach my self to paint before doing my car.
Fingers crossed the next paint shop will be to a nice wallet price.

Well it's still under a cover in matts garage but my new garage is getting close.
Its all water tight and secure, All the feather edge is done now so the floor inside the garage is getting cleared,
we have electric down there , just the lights To finish wiring up and 16amp supply to a large blue plug for my welder, spot welder and hoist.
The only thing in the way are 650 slates which we started to put up today,
once there cleared , we will put down a self levelling screed to make the floor smooth and a coat of floor paint .
Then it's time to fill it up.
Also ordered my new welder Thursday , there made to order and british made, fingers crossed I have it in 2 weeks of so
It's been a long time since I done anything to do with the mk1

One side of the roof is done and we have started the other. So half the tiles are gone
The 16 amp plug for my welder is all in. All the lights are done except 1 . They light the garage up brilliantly
Also put a loads of shelfs up ready to hold all my parts.
Still slowly getting there. But I was doing an hour a half every night after work but now the clocks have changed that's less time on the roof before we can't see.

Very nice I seen that car a few times. But not sure on the price maybe that high as its going through a website like that one.

Well the day finally arrived and we moved the car into its new garage. It's not 100% finished but at a stage I can put it in there. . We have some cheap floor paint to put down. Until it gets warmer , then we can put the other hard wearing epoxy mixed floor paint down ( its fussy stuff and has to have a min of 15 *c to paint it) so not till next year. There has been alot of work , most evenings and every weekend working on it. Big thanks to my dad could not of done it with out him I would post photos but For some reason I can't upload photos which I have put on photobucket from my iPhone app. So annoying , just has a box that says they have been deleted or moved.  ? |
