Well, after its EDMC debut I thought I may as well start a diary for my Rover Cooper (now known as the red one) for anyone that is interested! Purchased off ebay about a month ago, mainly for some of the longer distance events and also because its got a usable back seat so my son can come along too. It has had a baptism of fire, being used for my commute to work for a few weeks, a thousand faultless miles so far at motorway speeds. Plans are a bit of a mechanical tidy up and all round service, then a bit of bodywork before the season begins. Its not in too bad condition all round, I think it has been garaged for a lot of its life, all panels are original with only a couple of tiny patches on the sills so far in its life. I intend to keep it standard and original looking on the outside and the interior but mechanically some improvements will be made...

Er yeah well spotted everyone I was just thinking that GTX Magnatec oil wont be 20/50. Always go for Valvoline 20/50 R in an A-series myself. ;D

Well spotted Toby, i knew that would be it! fortunately that can was just for illustration purposes, and catching the brake fluid on the flush and bleed. Personally i use cheap mineral 20/50 and change it every 3000. Also magnatec is a semi synthetic, not brilliant in the A series either.

The latest instalment.... the pile of wire wool stuff was jammed up in that gap along with a couple of tubs of body filler, another fine example of the bodgers art! It baffles me how randomly minis rust, all that rust along the rear edge of the boot, yet the battery box is pristine (and half full of water!)
