er the sidewalk bonnet I'm after for mine if its not rot,
thats good about the mk1 bonnet though, will be good I've arranged for some great cars to be there.

got the oil pump off and yes it is a little marked but not anywhere as expected . will check the crank bearing but reckon only a new oil pump will be required .
will take bonnet to club meet Stephen.

Finally getting this engine ready to go back in car . The primary gear has taken a knock while its been off , so i need one of those . Also, the cover I had over the empty engine bay has come adrift and unfortunately water has filled up the relay box that houses the fuel pump relay and others . The pump relay is knackered  . So I need one of those to . Got a weekend set aside to put it in so hopefully by end of June it will be a runner . D |

cheers guys , got no excuse for it not passing seeing as I am a mot tester anyway . It has been standing for nearly 2 years and I have not checked the rear brakes so who knows what reading I will get from the brake tester.
The headlamp aim is definately out so i need to do that on the beam tester .

yep ................. its got no front on it , windscreen surround cut out and rear valence off .
got a call to come and have a look cos its even worse than expected .
filler in the sills and worse i believe

I remember when Bogey was done, it seemed to bad news every day, but it has to get worse before it gets better ;D ;D ;D And you know it will be done properly this time round ;D ;D ;D |

The sidewalk now has a MOT  Drove the 25 mile from home to work no problem . It did initially fail the MOT because the offside rear tyre had a tiny split but as it was down to the cords it had to fail . It broke my heart having to put the spare on as the spare was brand new ...... meaning it still had a unused spare wheel and tyre that was put in the boot during production in 1995 ! Will be for sale in a few weeks , price will be £1500 no offers as is or I could build it to spec for someone with full professional respray in any colour (by the guys that did mk1 and are doing Matilda) , wheels , arches , exhaust etc etc . D |
