Sorry to hear your problems Dave, Dosent matter what condition your cars is in they still do it.
Apparently while we down the farm a load of kids were playing about with cars and trying to jump on them ooutside our flats today which included Manky, no damage done as far as i can see.
They also like throwing stones and stuff at side of flats knocking all the tiles off.!!!!!

oh lovely . Its only minor stuff on mk1 but still annoying . Did not put fancy caps on mk1 tyre valves when I finished it as I did not want them stolen . But the opportunity got the better of me and I got them from Jim as a raffle prize. Stayed on 4 days. Josie can I have my old black tyre valve caps back that you won after I took them off mk1 and put them in the raffle ;D he he Got a box load at work , will put standard ones back on . The bumper annoyed me . That was a genuine Rover bumper. I bought a new pair in 1991 and did not put them on till 2004 . Cant get them like that anymore .

Thinking about a revamp for Mk1 .
Do I put on wider wheels? How about group2 wheel arches ...like the works cars. Same as Paul has on his Cooper .

your car looks good and turns heads, making it look like a works car will be ok be keep it standard
i think it looks much better, i am keeping mine standard ON THE OUTSIDE, but like you have a pokey engine under the bonnet and simple interior,

dont need new tyres as got 008s with 3 thousand miles on them fitted at the moment . ;D They work round Combe in the wet to. Only suggested group 2's as they are a 60's arch . Not that the wide wheels i have are a 60's thing All opinions appreciated.

The 4 pots are coming of and will be fitted to the k series Studio2 . Spent a couple of years buying the new parts 1 at a time to put a S brake set up together . Thats been complete for 18 months or so . Will put that lot on mk1 for new season.

Have thought about a supercharger over the last few years but decided against it because of the cost . It will be about as much as I paid for building the med engine and box. We could go on a much deserved foreign holiday with that sort of money . Besides got the Studio 2k on the go so no point uprating mk1 engine as it does the job ok .
