Didnt like thrashing past you on A22 I suspect . ;D Or more than likely its not used to having the lights on That was the last time I used it , maybe i left the battery cut out switch on , jumped it ok and drove it round into lock up and i think I left the switch on again . No worry as will take battery to work to test and trickle charge.

So what could be draining the battery? The battery should hold for at least three months..?

not had a battery problem since , must have left something on. plumbed a voltage stabilizer in to sort the temp gauge and fuel tank. The new wiring loom is for a pre 64 car as mine is but the pre 64's did not have stabilizers . Temp gauge reads a little bit low at just under The 'N' on the gauge for normal running temperature but is certainly usable, , before it was right on the hotter side of the hot section when running at normal temperature . Fuel gauge still odd. Not bothered about that . Also pleased it went well to Castle Combe , around the track and back home . Around 340 miles, no problems at all ;D In fact the further it went the better it felt , Jim said it would loosen up more the further it went just like his did. So very happy now .............. with the car .

It wasn't you that held me up on the track Shawn ;D But I think 210mph is an underestimation of what you were doing along the 23............barely had time to register it was you before you disappeared into the distance ;D ;D ;D ;D

had a bad couple of days with the mk1 . someone kindly reversed into it on friday and dented the rear bumper enough for it to warrant a replacement . noticed on saturday some little sod had nicked 3 of my Jim raffle prize tyre valve caps . Must be a Reliant with posh valve caps out there somewhere . Serves me right for using it as a daily driver and parking it in the street . Should get my banger mid week and the mk1 can hibernate for the winter . Finally on the way back from Lewes saturday the drivers side chrome trim finally came off , was doing about 60...ish on the A26 and it got run over instantly by the truck going the other way . No point stopping for it . oh well
