I had 18psi after I lengthened the spring and put a nut in the top . lol
Oh well , at the end of the day something is not right. Whether its something I have done during the build or its the gearbox that Morspeed built. Gerald questioned the gearbox . Its coming out ........again . ;D
I am currently working on developing strong velcro engine mounts . ;D Actually , if you want your engine out give me a call , can do it blindfolded lol .

The closest a flip front will get to one of my Minis is when I tie it to the roof rack and take it up the dump

I have the yellow quick release at the fidly rad end and a normal style engine mount with captive nuts on the clutch end . I know they will come out ok , will have to wait and see how easy they go back in , I reckon they will go in ok .

Took the engine out wednesday eve in a hour , air tools and a ramp make life so much easier . Took me half that time to put the hubs and cv's together for towing home and clear up the mess i made in the workshop .
Did not break the speedo cable this time , because like Neil I could'nt get the B,stard cable on with the engine in car so I never bothered fitting it and kept putting the job off.
Will let you know what I find with engine.

Fingers crossed that Gerald finds something simple with the engine.

Do you think it may be the oil pressure valve seat that is pressed into the block after casting they have been known to crack. When the oil is cold they are ok but with the engine hot and the crack expanded along with thinner hot oil the pressure drops?

Had a explosion under the bonnet Plastic fan went with with a bang at 60mph and showered the underside and road with bits of plastic. Think rad ok , not leaking when I got home . Initially I thought it was the plastic air horn falling out and run over by rear wheel . I knew it was not secure thought oh well and carried on home a few miles up the road . Looked underneath and the air horn trumpet was still there . Popped the bonnet and found the rad overflow pipe missing as was the fan ;D . Looks like the fan ate the stray overflow pipe. Found a spare fan in Pick Up , so I have got to replace that , which is a job I hate as messing with the rad on my car is a orrible job . Also need to polish inside out and engine bay , clean interior and sort my gear out afterwok Friday as working Sat Mini's
