I am the executioner , Monday is judgment day The executioner carried out a pre-MOT today, and found.... Another hole for me to patch, seized wipers and blown number plate bulb.   On the plus side the back of the car is finished, light all work and the car is grey again!! An I unseized the wipers too! ;D   The motivation has been lost now. Will just fiddle around with the car, lets see if I can finish her for Tuesday evening. Don't think she'll make SMD  |

Only picked up the bulb and hole , apart from what Si knows he already had to finish its ok as far as i can tell , not saying with a assistant helping and being over the pit I wont find more . Will see . Got Shawn booked in thursday for a MOT . He also sent me a pm headed Darling . ;D

Shawn finished well ahead of schedule so I dropped her in for an MOT last Friday. Sorry Dave, I just had to get it MOT'ed before the weekend  1. Front drums unbalanced. 2. Rear drums ineffective. 3. hand brake insufficient. 4. O/S steering rack gaitor split 5. N/S Washer jet pointing the wrong way. I knew the drums needed attention, I'd only done one out of four so far, hence unbalanced up front . So not bad really, my hack welding at the back and Shawn's beefing upfront. So Paul and I changed the engine and fitted the stage one kit Saturday afternoon.... Dropped in the 998 acquired earlier in the year from Dave. We had initial issues, like not been able to turn the engine over, so a swap of flywheels and using shorter bolts to hold on the clutch slave let her spin. Fresh oil and water and she started and ran for five minutes... then stopped... the fuel pump is not doing it thing... Oh and I changed the gaitor and a CV pot gaitor which we damaged during the engine change. I then took apart the front drums and used some glass paper to ruff up the drum face and shoes. Just need to sort out the fuel pump, ruff up the rear brakes, bleed and adjust. Hopefully for a retest tomorrow. Fitting on 6x10 wellers Wednesday and some suitable arches to cover em. Then she's off the Gerald Dale Thursday... ;D Just to get her running okay. I wonder if I can get the car painted on Friday? ;D |

Another late evening last night, Faultly fuel pump was due to the spacer been missed out, putting the pump 1cm closer to the cam, hence the engine would not turn over at one point... then is spun fine.... sadly the pump arm was broken off the shoved up to one side... So up went the engine and off came the speedo drive! Just a 2nd hand fuel pump to attach tonight a reassemble the car, and then back onto the list of things to finish for a retest Wednesday. Saturday 12:00  Tick tick tick...  Saturday 14:00  Saturday 17:30 'It wont turn!'  Monday 19:30 'Lets look in here?'  Top left ahnd corner wedged above the cam....  Monday 20:00 'reunited'  |
