dont forget we have back filled to prime the pump, its new oil and up to the level, a smiths oil pressure guage is used , but no reading there was some sort of oil pressure as we released the bolt from the front of the block whick goes through the pipe to the oil filter
for the time we run it we would of seen some sort of pressure but nothing we even took the guage off to see if there was any oil in the pipe but it was dry, and also cranked it but nothing came through
i have thought and tried most things, any other ideas.
kate really wants her car back and tel has worked his socks off and spend most evenings in the cold to keep her happy.
poor bloke.

Dont get a used one , sure you wont........ ;D
Get a Minispares one , you then know it will be a quality one . I picked one up at Southern Mini days from the Minispeed stall the last time it was held at hop farm . The box said made in china or Taiwan ..somewhere like that . Thought I was on the Huddrsfield stand ;D for a moment . I put it back .
For the cost involved in getting a quality pump and the work involved in taking a oil pump out there is no point cutting corners . Had to have mk1 engine out because of gearbox builders over-use of silicone sealer . No issue with the new Minispares one I put in .........
I would buy some cam lube too .

it is actually worse than you see in the pics, already got a new one in along with new gearbox seals etc just got to do seals at timing cover end as found a tiny leak there and no point putting a leaky engine back in. hopefully ill be able to crank it up before meet tomorrow that way i can pick more brains if im still without any pressure

its official..... im a pratt it would seem that when i pressure washed gilberts new engine ..............i filled the block up with water. discovered this as after putting it all back together i still have no oil pressure!so ive had the gearbox back off took the head off and noticed that down in the galleries there was a mixture of oil and water together, turned the block upside down and i recon about half a litre of mixed fluid came out, hopefully this is our problem..any taking the p**** to be done ,get it over with and make it funny as i need a bit of cheering up after making a fool of myself

Now ...... If I said any of this I would be inundated with Pm's complaining How does Jim get away with it ? I have a theory ;D It's the number of smiley faces that Jim uses. Therefore it's not the quality of the p... take but the quantity Tel - they won't take the peeee too much as they/we have all probably done something equally embarrassing in the past but not alway man enough to own up ;D ;D ;D ;D
