Engine now painted properly with new core plugs! thanks to dean for the suggestion of sumerford minis for the genuine BMC green paint which I couldnt find anywhere else. also bought some genuine engine mounts as the cheap ones i used before make the engine a real tight fit and a moo poo cow of a job. Stripped the interior out and removed the doors to sort out wiring and new carpets. To tidy up the engine bay we decided to remove the subframe as there is a bit of rust in an awkward place. This should also make it easier to put the engine/ brakes back in as it can all be assembled and bolted back in one piece. Also bought these recently, they attach to the bottom of the gearbox to the subframe and mean that an ultimate engine steady is no longer required. saw them on the Miniworld project car on my placement and had to have some!

its my dads..... future project. Its completely stripped at the moment in a bit of a sorry state. i think its an ex post office van circa 1980/81 but someone has tried to 'restore' it in the past using sections from a clubby estate....nice. not sure what hes planning, possibly a 2 litre vauxhall and a roof chop. dont think he has any money to do it at the mo.

you cant be sticking hybrid engines in a van or chopping the roof off. there are too many cusotmozied vans out there.
a nice standard resto to standard spec would be lovely

i have tried to argue that one, but his point is there is hardly anything original on it anyway. teher are some nice 10" revolutions around somewhere so hopefully they will be going on...
