some people were asking what I'm doing with my car so heres a few pics as it was a week ago (has since been rubbed down and bits removed) Still got to repaint and waxoil it, completely re do the interior and service everything. And lots of other stuff.... hopefully will be ready for L2B even if it is trailered there and back ;D Stephen

well the paint is going ok after a bit of a panic at the poor quality finish (the laquer came out all orange peely after flatting it back 3 times and re doing it!). Spoke to an expert today and he recommended rubbing it with 1500 paper to take the top off and then buffing it with a buffing wheel and compound... the advice made a world of difference I'm well pleased with it now. ;D ;D just got to finish doing the whole car cos it takes ages then properly polish it. This is the boot before, tho its a bit hard to show the bad finish: and the rear wing after (excuse the muck): and the front wings done:

Hi Stephen It's coming along and will definitely be worth the wait. Mine has been off the road since September and is going away next winter to have bodywork done and a respray. It spends more time off the road than on. Rachel

Nice one Stephen , my mk1 came out of the oven a bit "peely" here and there. A good wet flat in places and look at it now .
The Studio 2 came out of the oven a few weeks ago not quite peel free either.

Hello, got some more pics. lots of extreme dynamat going in (the stuff paul from miniworld has used). have covered most of the interior so far so should get rid of unwanted noise. Base board bolted in and the rest of the encloure for the twin subs going in. this has taken me ages but its getting there slowly.... Stephen

been ages since ive done any posts on my car so here we go... ive had the car storeed in the garage now for a few months as i am lucky enough to only use it in the summer from now on to make it last a bit longer between rebuilds! I fitted a 1275MG metro lump before taking it off the road and broke that so a new engine was required. its nearly finished now: Ive also got to finish off the engine bay as the wiring is shockingly bad (excuse the pun) The interior needs to be sorted ready for the show/sound off season, so far Ive installed some new front speakers and fitted some harnesses to keep me in the seat lol anyway, fingers crossed it should be ready for L2B!
