bad news on the new engine.... got home last night to find a pool of oil under the car after creating what can only be descrbed as a monster cloud of smoke from the exhaust at stone cross. I gave it some beef off a roundabout and i couldnt see anything but smoke in my mirrors!!!
I hate a series engines.
Will try and get to London on Sunday but who knows...

just had another look, good news is that the rocker cover gasket isnt sealing and so this is probably where most of the oil has come from

Lets hope you have it sorted with the rocker cover and you take it to L2B. Mine leaked water out of the core plugs despite applying hylomar sealer to them . Done core plugs before and use hylomar for all gaskets at work, so no idea why they leaked . My brother is a Toyota mechanic , he gave me some black Toyota sealer that costs over £20 a tube , I removed the leaky plugs cleaned them up and applied the sealer . No more leaks.

No not really bothered about putting them on me pickup, there not wide enough to house the 15x20" rear wheels i'll have once its space framed Just thought they looked like a nice alternatice to sport packs and probably easier to flare as they dont go below the bumper. look v.nice though N

Ive driven the car about 30 miles since L2B! Got myself a new mountain bike to ride to work on and get fit so the mini has been left in the garage feeling sorry for itself. Still... its in good condition for the shows hehe
Should really get out driving it again but theres a few things to do: new slave cylinder, replace the battery cable and sort out a couple of rust spots, subframe looks a bit frail too....

excellent news, passed MOT yesterday with no advisories! Only problem was getting it on the ramp and the brake test rollers without bottoming out haha
