My arse would good in a Cobra Suzuka Mine is too early to have standard seatbelt mounts anyway but I was advised by someone at Sabelt to bolt into floor as Grant suggests . Welded plate in, then captive nut on a anchor plate . Being in a Mini that wont help much but I did what was advised . I dont like my rear mounts much , plates and anchor plate/nut welded to bottom of rear seat pan . I was wondering about a harness bar that bolts between the rear arches , any thoughts guys ?. Currently got Sabelt 3 points .

Safety Devices sell one of those. Works quite well on Bogus.
I didn't want to drill any more holes in the floor, Mini floors are like tin foil already. The Miglia builders weld a frame into the floor to attach the seat and seatbelt eyes to. It's all part of the welded in cage so it's super rigid.

A good place to look is the RACMSA 'Blue Book'. This gives you the harness mounting regulations for Motorsport. Page 189 on the below link; www.msauk.org/uploadedfiles/msa_forms/bluebooks/10/160-195%20Competitor%20Safety.pdfA 'Harness Bar' mounted at, or just below shoulder height is without doubt the safest way of mounting shoulder harness straps. Mounting them to the floor can cause severe spinal injuries due to the forces in a crash being directed down through the body on impact.

KAD internal linkage going in. Not something you'd want to do on a valuable shell as there's quite a bit of cutting required. Fits well though.

Yeah but just been reading up on this and apparently it needs a solid mounted engine...

It fits really well although I modified the rear brackets quite a bit to suit. Needs very stiff or solid engine steadies yes - apparently it'll pop the gearbox out of gear otherwise cos it's no longer rubber mounted. Don't think it'll fit through the magic wand hole, it's more central than that. I'm using the magic wand gator and metal bracket to make it look more 'authentic' however. Oh and this is the short gear lever option. They don't advertise it but it's the same price. You'll probably need a new alloy 'eye' bit inside the shifter as the rollpins are a moo poo cow. I broke two eyes drifting the pins out. minispares.com/Product.aspx?ty=pb&pid=33677&title=

The kad levers are nice to use . Well mine was until i bent the gearchange rods at Riv Run and had to source a second hand linkage . Still not put the kad back in .

Got the dash bar back from Sean today, promptly got it back in and mocked up the steering wheel position. Will get Alan Stone to rework the column for me. Coming together now...

Glad I did it to MK1 years ago ;D . Only the battery wire is under the car . Can you not fit and make good ? It is not exactly in a high viz area . Could do but have already riveted P Clips along the inner sills and fed the pipe work along. Need to get it finished now.
