Ive just picked up a full 850cc race engine i have everything but a cam n e ideas on what cam to go for i want it to have so poke but still driverbull on the road

when AC Dodd the engine builder payed the club a visit and gave us a talk on engines he recommended a cam made by Morspeed .
Alternatively the swiftune SW5 is the one to go for.

If you was to order one of each at the same time I would put money on the swiftune sw5 turning up a good month b4 lesspeed checking the order with you.

The SW5 is more likely to turn up,Fit,Work,and do the job you
want it to.

ive got an sw5 and its quite nice for the road. If its a full race engine you have and small capacity too then im not sure how easy it will be to live with for the road. I guess you will have to rev the nuts off it to get it moving. From what ac dodd was saying before, its best to have a lower revving torquey engine for the road.

well really big thanks but do u think a 1300 mg metro cam would be good cause i canrt have high lift rockers some people have said maybe the mg cam or the sw5 im not sure wot to go with

well if it was me I'd sell the 850 and get a 1275, even a standard one will probably have more torque. SW5 seems to be the most popular choice, not sure about using the metro cam, is it the same drive type?
