Hi all, don’t suppose any of you have had the unfortunate need to replace the whole surround around the front windscreen? I know the part costs approx £160 from mini sport. So the main question is! What do you think it would cost to get it replaced (minus the cost of the part)?

Yep, the panel (Minisport Part No: CZH3140) is £140.64 ex vat and £165.25 inc vat.

What's wrong with your orginal item?
Has is gone on the sides and top or just the bottom?

On both sides! Was thinking of getting it done with filler etc but was looking into getting the whole panel replaced as rust will only come back later.
I have had a quote for the rust to be treated on the car, but was thinking is it worth getting this bit done properly.

Could just get the two lower corners replaced, this would be cheeper and probably easier. Also a point to note is that you cannot change this panel without first removing the front winds so you would probably need new wings too. and while your at it why not get new A-Panels and a front panel. but hey I have probably just added about £500 to the bill there with my suggestion.
Also my final point to not is that it is a really drastic action to change a scuttle panel as when you do you lose the stamped in VIN number which is stamped in to the panel by the bonnet seal.
