;D Hey happy new year everyone! just wondering if any one would happen to know if my L-reg mini sprite has a loom that can take a stereo! I got me some 6X9s and some plywood from santa and have already got the stereo so jus need to chuck it all in! Any help would be much appreciated cheers Steveo  |

Im not 100% but dont think there is any on the loom,
Go to sutible Audio/halfords place pick up some decent speaker wire and run under carpts, make sure that front seats dont sit on the wire as this can lead to wires getting cut and shorting out.
Im Sure some one will have a better idea, but that is what i have done in mine.

as standard it should have had what's called an ISO connector, therefore the option of plugging a stereo straight in. Its most likely been chopped off and bodged about if its like most mini wiring

The looms were the same at that age .
If its got no wiring its been chopped out as Stephen has suggested.
Easy to do , just needs a permanant live , switched live (goes live when ignition on ) and a earth .

Yeh like Dave said, all you need is a permanent live , switched live (goes live when ignition on ) and a earth. Thats all i had when i put my head unit in, just link them straight up to the back of the head unit. If your unsure on which wires are what then just get a volt meter and check the voltage. Pretty easy stuff once you know what wires you have  !! Ant  |

 Cheers everyone thats awesome! my dad had quite a few minis when he was my age but hasnt got much experience on the newer ones, he seemed to think that it would have a speaker in it somewhere as well but im not too sure on that one! Ive ordered the under dash mount for the stereo so once that comes i'll start putting it all together! might have to pop into eastbourne halfords if i get proper lost! thanks for all your help ;D

Nah ive had a look under there and under the dash to try to figure out what my dad was harping on about but think he's just making stuff up again ;D
