Hi folks. Has anyone out there successfully fitted new rocker bushes? My first attempt just ended in a wrecked bush, having heated the rocker and frozen the bush to make for an easier fit....and used a 1/2" nut bolt and washer set up as a puller to wind it in......it just concertinered the bush . Cheers, Martin.

Yes, thanks. They've done several bits for me in the past. I wanted to give the rockers a go but perhaps they're a step too far without having the right gear.

are the bushes off set .because if they are, they would all have to be put in at the same off set so they were the same
are the bushes badly worn or is it just the shaft
its just i have a set of rockers which i was told were 1.5:1 ratio but there are no stamps to say they are, and they have offset bushes
just looked on the mini spares website and the bushes are normal not offset,

No, they are standard split bushes I bought from Moss for MKI S forged rockers. I had already bought a new shaft but there was still too much play in them. I managed to get the old ones out using a jury rigged fly press at work but I would have to make up a special press tool and some way of supporting the rocker to use it for fitting the new ones(and that assumes they'd go in at room temperature, which I doubt). I guess it's one of those jobs that seems simple in theory but needs a bit more than DIY improvisation in reality! Thanks for your thoughts Dean.
