What do I know thought!? Check out these guys who live talk and breed turbo minis ;D www.turbominis.co.uk/

I think they have had a problem with their website for a while now. There is a forum where you can ask AC Dodd questions and he is very quick to respond, but I'm not sure of the address.
Ask Dave, he will probably know ;D

ml motorsport forum Rachel .
Dont need big engines with turbos apparantly , 1293cc sufficient . Not cheap to do . Toby with the k series had a turbo before the K series , he got fed up with it breaking gearboxes and stuff he went K . Speak to him for first hand experiance on turbos at a club meet or pm him .. his forum user name is noisymini .

nice to see that someone has considred mini turbo. At least the turbo is A plus based where the K series may as well be a Honda engined mini.

Have spent years trying to get the most out of an 'a' series engine. As you say you could just plant a jap 1.6 sri or bigger in the car. Apparently they go like stink but then my turbo was a real surprise to many people, including an SLK by the marina. He could keep up with me but he could not pass.
'You shall not pass' I shouted, not really, or did I?
Last engine I built with a friend and installed in a heritage shell was blue printed to the max. each piston was weight matched, each con rod was weight matched and balanced end over end, from both ends. Vale springs were compressed and matched. The crankshaft was balanced and the engine sounds really sweet. ;D
