If you are buying new the best bet is to buy as a package ( wheel and tyre already fitted ) should be cheeper. If not then yes they will have to be fitted and balanced at tyre place.

Would also advise getting a wheel and tyre package which as you say is ready to roll . Have tried getting tyres locally as I am in the motor trade and I cannot get them as cheap as advertised in the mags . Mainly because Mini sizes are not a large volume seller . The mini specialists buy loads of mini tyres at once and can sell them cheaper .
Would like to point out that there have been some probs with one of the larger wheel suppliers . Wont mention them here , so would suggest speaking to me or some of the others at a club meet about that .

What Midland Wheels? So I've heard, but i've done well with the last two sets of wheels I've recieved. Folk have had problems but were they resolved well, I think that is the problem - their after sale service.
