i cant not believe this.. i have got through 3 subframe mountings sinse i had the freakin car and can only put it down to bad design/crap cheap mountings. the driver side rear subframe mounting keeps shearing straight down the middle of the rubber. and i can see that that design is soo poor because correct me if i am wrong but rubber works well under load but these mountings are under a pulling strain therefore the rubber cant cope. surely other people have had this problem as i can only see it as an awful design for rubber. anyway im gunna buy some genuine ones as opposed to the non genuine ones and see if theres a difference but i cant help but think something is not right.

Admittedly the non genuine 1's are cheap but still should last and not have to be replaced 3 times !! Hope you have better luck with the genuine 1's and maybe paying a little bit more might help lol !! See you at college mate, Ant

Maybe you have another under lying issue.
I assume your front tear drop mounts are okay? Have your replaced the rubbers on the towers?
Do you often do 'j' turns or play in the fields?

As above , is something else wrong ? . Bent subframe ? I dont know
Have replaced knackered mounts but not had subframe mount failures in nearly 20 years of Mini-ing.
