hi all well had the head of the mini back from garage after haveing it skimmed as we did not do this when we rebuilt it and she started to play up again ,so we thought great put her back together she will go great,well how wrong we was she will not start.Matt been out in the rain cecked the distributor got a new arm and cap checked the coil checked the spark plugs but she is turning over but wont fire matt got his bro over to have a look he doesnt no why.I am geting very concerned now as i am running out of excuses on why i can not drive matts car as i know if i do poor betty will get left until he has more time.Please help i dont want to become a member of the 4 by 4 club i love my mini lol.

has it got spark ? try using different coil , and check the inlet exhaust manifold for leaks , is the fuel tank empty (stranger things have happened !) regards shawn

start over again go through everythong 1 by 1 one make sure it right so you can single it out
try the simply things first its normal that,
i know its mad but did you put the push rods in!!!! as the head has been off it easy to for get to put them in when you just want to get it started to see how it runs, i dont think your stupid so do take it in a bad way i have heard of some one doing it before

As above, but also check to make sure Ht leads are connected up in roght order, i have managed to do this before, changed leads ect, must stress only 1 at a time but still managed to put them on wrong? Firing order is 1-3-4-2 daz

SHES ALIVE !thanks daz for stoping and helping us.We all got there in the end got the brakes done needed a new cylinder and even done the mixture now so sounding alot better until the choke cable broke lol.
