IS IT WORTH GETTING A 1293CC

I have been offered a fairly cheap set of new 1293 pistons with rings and new conrods, i was going to rebuild the 1275 for the clubman before it went back in anyway. Would making it a 1293 gain me much over a standard 1275? Also roughley how much would it cost to have the bores on the engine done?

Its probably a good idea to do this as the block may be worn and need a re bore anyway. speak to one of the mini engine specialists

the conrods that are with the pistons are innocentti, does this mean anything to anyone, are they any good

I belive the innocentti con rods are the next best thing to the cooper S con rods.

If they are genuine, they'll be worth having.

Would be worth having the block checked first.You might have to rebore larger anyway so pistons and rings would be no good.Or block might be u.s.
Can recomend Gerald Dale as he did my rebuild
Depends how far and how much you want to go ,as whilst engine stripped would be worth checking / renewing other parts also

another route would be allbore you provide the pistons and so on they mod the block to suit numbers in phone book or the yellow motor trade mag .
you will notice the difference but wouldnt be amazing , couple it up with a nice john speed stage three head and decent swift cam and sensible carb then you will be talking !!
