hi tony here right here we go ;D yes mankey is my mini yes the metro engine was also mine and yes maybe i am to soft for my own good but i see daz as a friend and i like to help friends where i can we should have looked down every avenue ie: the head-gasket. but we did not why not i don't know but like people say you learn by your mistakes daz did pay for the spare parts for the change over which he could not afford head gasket would have been cheaper which has been pointed out to us enough said. it was a job a weekend mechanic and an OLD BOY like myself should have not rushed we know that now yes i was angry and still am but hey life's to short for all that maybe my name should be badger now ;D ;D Hee hee bodger and badger........... ;D The engine will be taken out again and the damage will be assessed and hopefully repaired. ;D Mankey will ride again. maybe in a different form' myself and a few other EDMC members have plans for next season might be something on the members section at a later date. :- EDMC has introduced Rachel and myself to a new bunch of friends with the same interest's other than just drinking, which is all we ever did before. Mini's are great fun, EDMC is great fun and our weekends away (with the odd half a larger thrown in) are great fun. mistakes have been made (maybe bodger and badger should have got Rachel to do the work she's now the expert in this house ;D ) but hey they are mini's, more mistakes will be made and not just by daz and myself. lessons have been learned and maybe we will both learn to walk before we run next time all friends again ;D ;D ;D ;D

Old bill knew about this, its swappable, the valve reroutes the oil until the engine is up to running temperature for a faster warm up in cold climates.
Bill didn't try it though, he just cut a hole in the sub frame for it.
Try Daz (Shortie BMC) as he has a couple of auto box's and plenty of experience.
