Hello,
I am looking into changing the engine / gearbox in my mini from a 998 auto, to a larger engine with manual gearbox. I have read in mini world that you have to change the front subframe as well. What other things if any do you need to change?
And does anyone have a cheap subframe? lol. Or engine / gearbox? Any thing cheap, that works would do!! 1275 or bigger!! lol.
Many thanks.

use your auto frame , you will only have to mod the engine mounting because I believe the manual box is smaller than the auto and so are the mounts . Auto engines will not fit in manual frames .
Matt (mattatude) was only speaking to me about that today , ask him for details on the mounts .
