missing a con rod

As anybody seen a low flying con rod ?it left the front of my engine about half nine on Monday night,it exited the front of my engine under the dizzy went under the body then flew under Dans mini and disapered into the night sky.It has no collar on but answers to the name of fu*^$£%^&*?><:ing bas^<>|~}+_d if anybody can help it would be most appreciated

i dont know about the bang, but there was a lot of smoke! k1 beat me from the lights, but mine won on endurance.
ps i dont know about your con rod but i do have some of your crank case and gearbox, if you want them back ;D

report it to the police, there mus be a conrod theft out there. i heard that the 3rd con rod is worth more on the black market than 1st 2nd and 4th ones, i dont know why but people play.

Hi thanks to everyone for there concerns its a great loss but i think i will pull through.
Aubrey has new life a standard 998 for now put i might have just got my hands on a 1071 crank, so i will breath fire into him in the future.
I can see no reason for the failure, there was no loss of oil pressureor any sign of a fault.I suppose a race engine is a fragile beast having in that week burnt a1200 twin port corsa and also ahonda prelude at the lights however i did get burnt by a golf gti but no suprise there,and it was time to go,i am a person who loves to build the engines as much as driving them,so good times ahead for the next build.Dan will bring the crank case and i shall bring the piston and pieceof con rod to the next meet.
PS it was rod failure and not piston failure
