an increasingly bad oil leak

as most minis do, mines leaking oil. i did the standard thing at first.. leave it alone but the situation is getting more oily by the day. this may not be linked to it but the clutch is also deteriating when trying to select reverse or first. im no expert on clutches so it could just be coincidence but is it possible for this to be linked. im looking for exactly where the oils coming from tomorrow so ill keep you posted.

It may not be engine oil it could be brake fluid leaking from the clutch slave cylinder . Low clutch fluid can cause poor gear selection .
Had a 95 mini at work last week that had poor gear selection , I checked the clutch fluid resevoir and it was very low . I topped it up , bled out the air from the slave cylinder and away it went,.
