i have just picked up my engine for the mini project, it is a completely standard metro turbo engine in seemingly good condition. The gearbox has been rebuilt but the engine is situated over about 6 boxes, the problem being that i have never rebuilt an engine before. Does anybody know of any good books or websites or downloads etc that give a good guide to rebuilding this engine
any help would be appreciated

i have the book as well, but once you have read it all you forget alot of it
the dvd is great you can stop and start it when you like, i used it as i was building it.
it also gives you great tips like using a big end shell yo put in the flywheel while undoing it.
gaz has it first, but if anyone else wants to use it they are more than welcome.
thanks dean

Is the book any good! its a legend he did several on minis also a lot on v8's when he went to America.Jims right the bible. But for a novic engine builder probably to much info to get through, the dvd would be better, i think.

it is a bit indepth , I should think the majority will buy modified bits off the shelf and would rather know how to re-build the engine whether it be standard or modified . If the DVD includes how to actually put the engine together would that not be the thing to watch ?
