(lock off, power on, and starter motor). now on mine its starting up on the 2nd position. anyone got any ideas on wats goin on. and how to sort it. bearring in mind that iv got a mini 30 shell with a mini 30 wire harness and a clubman 1100 engine. thanks matt

Have you doubled checked the solinold wiring? Possibly two of the wires are the wrong way around. Do you have a wiring diagram to check which colour goes where?

For once I agree with Si Sounds like solinoid connections are wrong .Bear in mind a mini 30 is pre engaged starter ( I think ) and a clubby has a remote solinoid.Sounds as if you got wrong connetion on trigger terminal if using a remote solinoid as you should be on a clubby.

50 - And at last you've wised up to agree with me! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Haynes Manual, degrease the wires to ID the wire colour, follow the connections to the diagram for your mini's model/year. Hopefully you'll find the problem. Or just swap them around untill you stop blowing fuse's and it all works (Not reccomended ;D) ;D Good luck

ALL SORTED BY MINIHAVEN the fault was wires placed in the wrong places with the aid if a snapon test probe we quickly wired the correct wires into the right terminals now mat can crank run and charge no problems .
