Got a triple instrument pack to replace the twin in the studio 2 , this is the type behind the steering whhel ..
As you all know the 3 clock has the rev counter . I have the Nippon manufactured clock set (as is my current twin set up ) now am I right in saying that the 2 wires that need to work the rev counter are already in the wiring loom , one is a black and white wire and one is another colour that I dont know being colour blind. . One has a spade terminal and the other a bullet terminal , these coincide with the terminals on the back of the rev counter. I have connected them but nothing happens , obviousy I may have a knackerd rev counter but is it possible the wires at the coil where I think they originate from are connected incorrectly The pcb only works the bulb in the back of the clock so only these 2 wires in question operate the rev counter. Can anyone help. I do not have a late wiring diagram you see.

Dave done clock swap a couple times. The black/white wire should be conected to coil sometimes it is just left hanging near coil as not used on two clock set up.Sometimes rev counters stick if not been used a while, might need reving up high a few times to kick in.

cheers chaps
Will hunt out the black and white wire at the coil on sunday when I put the freshly charged battery back in . Quite sure the wire is off the coil , tried connecting to a lucas manufactured clock set as that has the same 2 rev counter connections as the nippon set and that did not work either.
Will let you know.
Will be well pi**ed of if both sets are shagged D
