Howdy,
I bought Sieve a new set of 5.5x12 wheels, back ones went on fine, but the fronts rub on about a quarter lock. Im getting new wings soon anyway, but was wondering how easy it is to cut them myself? Is it tin snips job, or grinder?
Cheers,
Tom

Personaly wouldn't be too keen on using angle grinder.
Tin snips and hacksaw should do the job.
A second pair of hands would certainly be pretty useful too!

That will be Sarah then Tom ;D ;D ;D Expect you would get away with a pair of nail trimmers ;D ;D ;D Try taking off the arch's and see how much wing needs triming. I seem to remember prev owner saying they had already been cut to take 6" must have got that wrong as well.

There was a tech articles in the mini mag all about it this year. I'll scan it into PDF and email it to you. You have it Monday.

I think the original front panel was cut, but the new one isnt! Im gonna fit the W&P arches sarah got thrown in with hank to the front, and fit the rear ones at the same time once i've saved up enough to get Sieve sprayed! And cheers for that Si, think im gonna have to go and buy some tin snips now!

Get this for a head scratcher! The right wing has been cut to fit the wheels, but the passenger wing, hasnt! Im assuming he only made left hand turns the whole time he had 12's on...

Account sorted!
And yeh, they're deffo 12x5.5 Supers. The o/s wing is definately not cut, because it runs in line with the new front panel lip. I should have the tin snips tuesday(ordered left/right and straight set). Im just hoping the guy before cut the wing enough as i was going to use his as a template.

Sorted! Took a few hours to do, but im pleased with it! I drove round town for a bit, and aimed for the bumps, and no rubbing! Its a harsher ride than steels i've noticed.
