hi all. ever since i got my mini i've had a recurring problem with the headlights. every now and then they decide to cut out on me - usually on the marsh road around two in the morning like last night ! bit scarey lol they usually come back on again after 30 seconds. does this happen to anyone else? has anyone got any suggestions that i could attempt to try and stop this from happening again? thanx.

yeah i think ill go with dean on that too , can get genuine lucas replacement fuse boxes for around 16 quid wich is better than caffyns for 55 quid. they tend to corrode on the rear of the boxes due to the moisture within the sound deadening and it also corrodes the connection crimps as well . give us a call at minibizz 01273 513165 ask for shawn if your not confident on doing this electrical job takes us an hour £35 plus part £16 .

recommend lightly smearing some grease on the back of a fuse box to protect the contacts from the eliments d

one other thing to look at with electrical problems is on some models and definately 1980's onwards cars there are inline fuse holders located in the engine bay behind the air filter , these really give jip , seems to be the inicator circuit that suffers everytime I venture in there to change a fuse or replace a fuse holder . d
