I'm stuck What do I do? Nice 1.3 GT Ready for the vinyl roof Light weight Sills Hammerite Interior My beloved GT, been in the family since 1987, first registered 1980. One of the last GT's. Champein Beige with a brown shag mat on top (Vinyl Roof) I got it in 97 and did my test in this car, clocked up 30 thou over two years. Ended up using a pint of oil every seventy miles! Then stripped her down for a rebuild and respray. Which did happen... on a budget. Well some of the body work and the worst spray job ever (£300 cash in hand) So it's been at home since. Needs attension to the outer sills, rear arches, valances and gutters. Engine is stripped down for a rebuild but some bits are scattered far and wide (lost) After seven years on my mum's drive its come to a crunch. Do I save for a house deposit or invest in another mini? Does it stay and I knuckle down on it? Or accept the offers for someone to give it a good home? You decide!!

Si only you can make the choice. If you sell you will not get a lot for her and will you regret not finishing her off?( been with you a long time and sounds like part of the family) Will cost a lot less than a house deposit. You could even look at it as an investment if you spend carfully. Then have a rethink and perhaps sell to put towards deposit. Or just say sod it sell and spend money on a piss up.Then spend a few years saying wish I kept that old GT.Ask yourself what do I!!!!!!! want to do.( then tell joise) or even disscuss it with her. Been there done that wish I still had my old Honda instead of the three piece that is now long gone. As said only YOU can make the choice.Best of luck.

I told him he should keep it! Does need the attention & WILL be doing it this year as I have opted to help out with the restoration (after dealing with my one ;D )! It really needs to go into his Mums' garage, which is full of junk and she wants rid of the junk & new garage doors. I say (as I've already said to Si) help clear out the junk, move the GT in there, get new doors for Mumsy who will be ever so grateful for them that we woundnt need to pay rent on the garage, then spend some time in the summer with a little help from friends to get the girl up & running. ;D We've got welding gear, got the parts, just need the time and a little bit of pocket money to put into her! He sold the TR7 & regretted it.....dont want another dissapointed grumpy Simon again this year! House deposit can wait, (I'm on the saver for it anyway!).....its not as if houses are going to rust away!
