The alternator sounds like its fine so check the cables running to and from it. One could be cut or broken somewhere. You must also have a drain some where something is slowly pulling on the battery. Could be a Internal light which is left on. Does you box of tricks come up with anything. Check with a tester to see if anything is powered up with the keys out. Has anyone in the past done any DIY wiring anywhere. A good thing to put on you earth terminal is a isolator switch. item.mobileweb.ebay.co.uk/viewitem?index=0&sbk=1&nav=SEARCH&itemId=310420625349

As suggested check the earth points and I'm not sure how the voltage regulators work in spi / mpi is it possible that could fail and not be allowing charge into the battery
As for a drain on the battery in the past I have known of cars fitted with trackers suffering from this when the tracker internat battery goes flat... If its a good tracker you would not even know its there but people never used to fit trackers to minis in the 90s as they were still cheap run a outs then so probably not a likely cause
