I have all the conversion parts Including a manual front sub frame Gear linkage Pedal box brake servo Clutch master / slave cyl All you would need is an engine... And for the right price I could be persuaded to part with the engine in my pickup Neil

Tony don't want to sound mean ,but mini auto gearboxes are crap. Break all the time and all your have is hassle with it.
Best thing to do before you put anymore money in that mini is to sell it on a buy one with a running manual engine
The time and money it will cost you to convert it to manual, you could buy yourself a nice running tax and moted manual mini, go see Martin he has always come across good cheap minis.
It seems harsh, but it will be the best thing to do.

So are you ditching the auto or trying to get it working again?

I would not bother with that engine , either weigh it in or sell it on.
Just get a manual subframe or at least the engine mounts which fit a auto subframe. And get everything thing ready for when you get a engine that works that you can fit in.
Lets see some photos of your car.
