just a few details about my mini. 1992 cooper 4 door 1.3i red/white, not been on the road for 3 years and aquired it 4 months ago as an unfinished project from a friend. needs some cill and floor work doing but the engine is overfueling possibly ecu fault. no company wants to test unit so far but does anyone know of any help i could find. still at college at the mo so funds are a bit short but really want to restore her to her best.thanks Jim

hello and welcome.
start up a diary on your car in the diary section
think you need to get in contact with "miniheaven"
he has a spi mini and a clever tool which checks all the sensors on the car and lets you know whats wrong
he lives in newheaven and as your mini is not working he will have to travel to you so your have to cover his costs and time
most garages these days have not got a clue with minis. most of them that say there mechanics but really there just fitters, tyres, exhausts, brakes, etc
but there are a few good garages about which know what there doing

thank you minibottcher that has been very helpful, my mini is at a garage at the moment they have been doing some work for free for me they seem to know what they are talking about but dont have the specialist equipment to work out what is wrong, i am a mechanics student at sussex downs and am taking it in to college on friday, apparently they have rover specialist diagnostics equipment, so im going to give that a try if not i shall try to contact the person you recomended thank you.
