My Cooper has an electric fan that kicks in when hot but thats with the sensor built into the thermostat sandwich plate. Ant

i think eddie and you have been watching wheeler dealer new series, oh that moke did my head in when they got rid of the standard machanical fan for only a electric fan, its not a modern can with a rad at the front so it need a fan blowing at it ( not sucking like ed said) all the time to keep it cool
back to the subject, i have checked mini spares they dont seen to do them,you can get a probe that goes in the rad grills which the connects to your electric fan,
i have a look

Thanks Ant already using a sandwich without the hole in it, but after seeing the price of that sender think will just be a £3.99 switch with a light on it from Hailfords

saying that pual, on one of my old mini i did that , kept an eye on the temp, when it got hot i just flicked the switch, much cheaper.

Thank you very much for the Merlin reccomendation Dave ,i ordered the parts i needed weds and they came first thing today thurs !! ,you could also use a late cooper rad which has the sensor on the front edge of the rad near the grille ?.d
