After over heating in traffic this morning, i had a look at my radiator, to discover that there was alot of froff inside the it aswell as inside the engine cap. Which i think this means that oil is getting into the radiator, is there any other chance that its not the lovely and expensive to repair head gasket? It uses up alot of water, however was sat in traffic for an hour and a half before dieing. And the engine cap has only started becoming froffy since last week.

Shouldnt be an expensive jobby could well be the head gasket and lets face it it can be done fairly quickly too what marke / year is it ? incidentally its not the sort of thing which can be diagnosed on a forum to be honest you need to take it to someone who knows their stuff .

One of the rules of owning a mini . Do not sit in a traffic jam with the engine running .
Suggset you get someone who knows how to work on Minis to have alook and carry out a head test . Any reputavble garage would be able to do that .
Remember though that there may be a reason why the head gasket has gone assuming it has . May have a leeking waterpump etc etc .
Get it proffesionally checked over .

Ah, so that was you on the 27! Sorry I didn't stop, was already an hour and a half late for work Head gasket is a serviceable repair, not expensive. Maybe pop it down to my mate Dan at dreamwerx.co.uk/about-us/ for a check over and diagnosis
